PARLIAMENTARY QUESTIONS SINCE 2001 RELATING TO THE
LOCAL GOVERNMENT OMBUDSMAN -by Trevor R Nunn
The following links all refer to the `They work for you' web-site. Among other things they post all questions asked by MPs
together with the Minister's response.

I have, therefore, listed all questions that refer to the LGO. They are in date order from 2001 to date. I have excluded
those posts that mention the LGO as an aside. Even those that remain include a number which are of little interest to
LGOWatch supporters. However, I left them in for completeness and to illustrate a key finding.

From 2001 to March 2003 plenty of questions about the LGO but none that really bring the LGO into question. Then a
flurry of questions from April 2003 to date. Therefore, one can deduce that from April 2003 MPs were, for whatever
reason, beginning to ask  pertinent questions. I wonder what the reason was?

MPs are beginning to ask questions about the LGO, and we are watching.
